My Father (policy holder) was admitted in Shri Shankar Nursing Home, Bangalore for Dengue fever for * Days from *th Aug **** to *th Aug **** after the blood investigation reports suggested Dengue positive and doctor suggested for admission immediately. I (policy proposer) had raised a reimbursement request on *th August **** for my Father on HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company Limited website since that hospital doesn't have cashless facility. After waiting for almost * frustrating months with ** Days of processing time, ** Days of investigation time and then again ** Days of processing time from the investigation end date my claim was rejected as misrepresented on *rd October **** and started the cancellation of the policy with all paid premiums and benefits ripping off.
I had raised a complaint on the HDFC Ergo Grievance Redressal site and emailed them attaching a letter from the hospital and all the relevant documents for your reference that this is a genuine case of Dengue viral fever admission for * days to investigate deeply into it including checking the CCTV footage for * admitted days and sending a medical team onsite to speak to the hospital staff and doctor in-charge. But within couple of ours with an further investigation, i got an email stating that claim stands rejected as previously. No proper customer support from HDFC Ergo.
I want file a case on HDFC Ergo Insurance Company Limited for rejection of my claim and cancelling my policy.
I paid all the premiums on time for the past *-* years and now with genuine cases, we claim is getting rejected then ordinary citizen will suffer and loss the hard earned money as well as medical assistance/ security net during lack of funds. Completely unethical and negligence from HDFC ERGO.
