 - Horrifying taxi experience through MMT Open

I made a cab reservation for *st of May '** for a drop from Chandigarh Airport to a place in Sethan, H.P. The pick up time was around **:** pm from the airport. Due to the MMT's policies, the driver information was shared only half hr prior to the time of pick up. The initial driver details sent to us. However, this driver was unreachable on the phone number provided by MMT. We called out to customer care and then there was another cab that was arranged by this time, it was already past the pick up time. Our journey has just began and we noticed that our cab driver was driving like a maniac. We notified the driver several times about the way he was driving and he did not heed to what we were saying. Please do note were all travelling with women on board who were scared beyond imagination. We crossed about **/** kms from Chandigarh Airport and the ghat section of our travel just began. Driver was reckless even on the worst roads. There were many instances where the driver went head on with the other cars from opp direction, where the opp cars had to hard break to avoid collision. When we asked the driver to slow down, he downright told us "If you are so scared go and sit in the back seat of the car" This horrifying ordeal went on for at least half hr on the ghats. At one fine point, this driver collided with a bus from opp direction. The collision was such that the side of the car where my wife was sitting crashed into the bus. This shook her to the core and was shaking terribly. Driver tried rushing away from the spot, however, a truck driver managed to stop this guy by pulling his truck in front of the car. He told that there were officials waiting for him at the spot of the accident and that he has to go visit them. Both the bus driver and this cab driver were present with the officials. We were not aware of what was going on in conversation. It went on for more than ** minutes when we asked one of my friend's to go check. He came back stating that the cab driver was not ready to accept his fault and he was blaming the bus driver for the crash. This definitely was not true as the complete responsible person for the crash was the cab driver.
After an hour or so, the driver came back and our journey resumed. All this time, we were frantically searching places to stay for the night and get rid of the driver. Since the place was deserted one there were no options for us to stay for the night. Hence we decided to move further with the journey and end it as soon as we find a place to halt for the night. Driver was still driving like a maniac even after the crash.

After driving for half hr into the night after the crash, driver was constantly on call & was talking about something 'paper'. We were oblivious to the fact that driver was trying to get high. After sometime, driver was on call with another person who asked him to turn back his car to go see him. Our driver, without our approval, turned back the car & went and met with this person who claimed that he was his 'brother'. It was a small dhaba sort of thing where were had to stop because driver wanted to meet his 'brother'. We stayed back in the car. Driver was almost away for half hr when we decided to go check up on him. When we walked into the room, we saw the driver getting high on weed.

This was the point we decided it was not worth risking our lives with this maniac who doesn't give a crap about his passengers. Our car journey has begun after this episode. Since we were in a deserted place again, we were searching to find a night stay.

Thankfully, we found a place about *** kms from our start point. By this time, it was already around *:** am / *:** am. We no longer wanted to be driven by this pathetic driver. We just checked in to 'Highway Inn' Oyo place for that night.
Since we did not want to deal with the hassle driver may create, we went and paid the complete pending money through GooglePay.
We checked into the place and crashed for the night.

The next morning i.e., *nd May '**, the first thing that I did was to raise a complaint with MMT about the incident. They assure us that action will be taken against the driver and also, we would be compensated. However, to my surprise, I have not received any calls from the team.

There was only one email I received from MMT stating that they tried reaching out to me and that my phone was unavailable. Since I was travelling, I have notified MMT to send emails to which they did not respond. I have been sending out emails but with no use.
I received a call from they support team few days back. I've had to explain the whole thing again. This time, I was promised of resolution. I have not heard back ever since. My conversation on email was with Mohit Goyal who claimed that he was on leave and hence could not respond. Which was illogical to be honest.

I have been tweeting about this tagging their CEO but to no effect. I was notified that the team is validating the issue and will take ** to ** hours to respond. I'm not sure how they validate an accident. Also, it was been more than a week now without their proper response.

I'm reaching out to you so that MMT is held accountable for putting us through such a nightmare. The least of all, they should prioritize their customers than their vendors.
