I have booked a car from Zoomcar on December **st ****. I have used the car for two and half days and returned the car on January *nd ****. I have booked the car for *** KM(Kilometers) used below that limit. Then all of a sudden I am seeing fraudulent charges stating that I have used an excess of **** KM (You heard it right. Four thousand six hundred and ninety four) apart from ***Km for which I have booked. This is completely absurd and ridiculous as they state that I have travelled for two and half days, and used ****+*** = **** KM. Now they try to charge me for Rs **,*** for the excess usage. I contacted the zoomcar about the same and as time passed away, have neglected or forgotten their charges at that time.
Now in recent times, because of long gap I forgot about the charges they asked and on *st August **** I tried to book a Zoomcar and booked a car. While booking the car , their app did not show anything about the my outstanding balance(fraudulent charges) which I need to pay. So ignorantly I booked a car and the payment was successfull and got debited from my credit card. Then all of a sudden when I try to look at my new booking they show in a very bright red color that, I am having a outstanding balance of Rs. **,*** and need to pay them this amount if I want to use the latest booked car. I find this completely predatory as, they accepted the booking and received my payment to full fill the booking but now asking for pending fraudulent charges which in first case I have never used. I tried contacting their customer support but they completely deny to understand the issue and state that for any bookings older than ** days they cannot do anything and state I need to pay the Rs.**,***. Frustrated by them, I cancelled the current booking which I made on August *st, which is for an amount of Rs. *****, as Zoomcar promised for a full refund and free cancellation. But as I suspected, they adjusted the amount to the fraudulent charges and sent me an email stating refund processed and no refund was required.
I suspect they are trying to scam consumers on fraudulent charges and after long time, if a consumer books a service, they try to scam them stating you own us an old due and we adjusted your new payment for that. I request for justice and hope no one faces the same issue as I am facing.
