Asianet Communication Digital Tv - Foul Play by Asianet Digital Cable in Kerala

I was using Asianet cable TV (Kerala) since ****. Initially, I have paid one year subscription, then * year subscription, then * year subscription and there after yearly subscriptions. During Initial years, they used to give all channels for what we have subscribed for...but later years, they used to deactivate certain channels like Ten Sports, Discovery etc... saying, additional payment is required to provide those channels. However, I have ignored such things as I am busy with many other things....
Last year in **** (from September *st) I have made one year subscription with silver tier (means, I should get all sports channels, Malayalam Channels and News channels). I have made subscription for one year and they have offered me * months subscription free (as Onam offer- I have done payment during August ****). That means, I should get ** months subscription till October ****.

During May ****, without any information to me, all my sports channels and some of my Malayalam channels got deactivated. While inquiring with Asianet office, I came to know that only free channels ( not every free channels) is available and for other so called paid channels, I have to make additional payment - The reason they have mentioned is "NEW TRAI REGULATIONS'
I have quoted another TRAI regulations - as below


THE TELECOMMUNICATION (BROADCASTING AND CABLE) SERVICES , STANDARDS OF QUALITY OF SERVICE AND CONSUMER PROTECTION REGULATIONS, **** ,



Under CHAPTER III , MAINTENANCE OF SERVICE



Clause ** : Price protection to subscribers.— In case, the broadcasting services related to
television have been availed by a subscriber with a lock-in period or the charges for
subscription of broadcasting services related to television are paid in advance for a specific
period by a subscriber in pursuance of any scheme offered by the distributor of television
channels, the distributor shall continue to provide such services for such period to the subscriber without any increase in the price of subscription and without altering the other terms of subscription to the disadvantage of the subscriber.

and I have Complained to the Nodal officer of Asianet cable. After many email communications and discussions, he has agreed to provide channels like star sports * & * and Ten * . All other paid channels were deactivated.
Past * months, they are doing foul play with the channels and have deactivated (at least * times) star sports * & * and Ten*. I have made complaint again to Nodal officer and again they have activated these channels. This was the process happened in all the * times.




Again on September **th all these channels got deactivated. I have written to the Nodal Officer, and copied to their Appellate authority. Today is *rd October and all these channels are still deactivated and all other channels were deactivated from October **th.
As per the TRAI regulation, I should get all the channels, I have subscribed for...for ** months from September ****. That means I should get, what I have subscribed till October **st.




I have already written to nodal officer as well as appellate authority that " I was offered ** month subscription, when I was renewing my subscription in the month of September ****. That means, my subscription is valid till **st October ****. TRAI regulation also says so...

There is no action taken against such people in this country and allow them to freely do anything they want. TRAI says, tey will not accept individual complaints ..Then what is the purpose of a department like TRAI, if they can not solve the problem of a Citizen in India?? They seems to be regulate all these service ..but if there is a complaint..they do not want to solve it....otherwise, a citizen should have a com[plaint redressel mechanism...These cable operators are looting their customers in day light..
