Hello there,
I ordered for an apple charger(adaptor) for my ipad air *th generation from Amazon. I bought it carefully after checking the description that the charger supports my device. I received my order on **th September in evening.
In the night when I put my ipad on charging with the new adaptor(charger). Some sort of thing happened in my screen & it blinked for a while. After which when I checked my ipad, the touch of the screen was not working & I was unable to open it. I panicked the whole night as my ipad really costed me much (around *****). I tried all the methods to make it function( all sources from youtube to google)but nothing worked. I didn't had proper sleep whole night.
Next day, I went to apple store in Lucknow, where they told me that apple doesn't have repair policy for ipad. It only exchanges it, if it is in warranty period. If warranty period is over, ipad is non- repairable & instead of solving my problem they tried to sell me a new ipad.
After which I took it to a local shop in hazratganj, where the shopkeeper kept the ipad for a day to examine. Today via call he confirmed me that the motherboard(touch sensor) of the ipad got burnt. This occurred due to the faulty charger.as the charger was unable to block voltage spike. Also he told that it the defective part is very sensitive & the repair would cost around ₹*****. This panicked me again, it was again too much amount.
My friend suggested me to talk to Amazon customer service. I called them & explained whole issue, they said that the only help they can do is by returning the charger & giving me the refund of charger. I asked them about the loss which happened, to which they replied that they are not responsible for it as they are only service provider, they told me that their seller is apple. They confirmed me via email that this was an apple product & only apple is liable for faulty charger.
Now please help me, Due to a faulty charger(adaptor) I'm unable to study also, I went through lot of stress in these days. Please ask apple or Amazon whosoever is responsible to either give me a new ipad or atleast the expenses of the repair cost.
