Booking.com - Delayed refund not refunding the money

My wife and I went to Cambodia and we booked our return tickets through booking.com. We booked * tickets (*st ticket booked on */**/**** & *nd ticket booked on **/**/****) through booking.com and unfortunately both the tickets were cancelled by the airlines and we contacted airlines but however they can't refund as we booked through booking.com. Airlines asked us to contact booking.com and inform booking.com to initiate refund because we are stranded in Cambodia and we require more money to book another flight. No one resolved the issue and we had to borrow money and work extra so that we can buy a ticket back home. We even cut short the journey.

We have been calling booking.com since then. They are always saying "we have escalated to the airlines, you will get the refund soon". They have promissed call back from supervisors * time but none called me. I am frustrated and feeling cheated by booking.com.

In order to get my refund, I had to call booking.com from Camodia and India and spend money just by calling them. Tey put me on long holds and have not resolved the issue.
