Tanishq - Deficient Service Nondelivery of Customized Order and Request for Compensation

This complaint pertains to the substandard service and inordinate delay I have experienced in obtaining a customized jewelry order from Tanishq Viviana Mall, Thane West store. The repeated failures to deliver the product as per specifications, coupled with the lack of adequate resolution, has caused significant financial loss, mental stress, and erosion of trust in the brand.
Timeline of Events and Grievances:
July **rd, ****: Booked a jewelry item from the Tanishq website for Rs. **,*** at a gold rate of Rs. *,*** (**Kt).
July **th, ****: Received the online order.
July **th, ****: Visited multiple Tanishq stores to explore alternative designs.
July **th, ****: Finalized a new design at the Tanishq Viviana Mall store, Thane West. The estimated value was Rs. *.** lakhs at a frozen gold rate of Rs. *,*** (**Kt). Wrist size was measured for customization, and a delivery timeframe of *-* weeks was promised.
August **th, ****: Received confirmation that the order was ready.
August **th, ****: Upon visiting the store, discovered that the delivered product did not match the customization request and was identical to the display piece. A revised estimate was provided for Rs. *.** lakhs, with an unexplained increase due to unfrozen diamond rates.
August **th, ****: Followed up for a customer copy of the order via WhatsApp.
September *th, ****: Further inquiry regarding order status; was informed it would take another week.
September **th-**th, ****: Repeated calls to the store were met with delays attributed to "Ganpati leave."
September **th, ****: WhatsApp communication revealed that the product was again delivered incorrectly, with a suggestion to reorder.
September **th, ****: Confronted the store manager about the repeated failures. Was assured of a resolution by September **th.
September **th, ****: Visited the store again, where the manager offered an alternate product at the frozen gold rate, acknowledging their mistake. I highlighted the price escalation of the desired design to Rs. *.** lakhs on the website and requested a refund of Rs. **,*** (original purchase) plus the difference of Rs. **,*** (Rs. *.** lakhs - Rs. *.** lakhs) to enable me to purchase the desired product elsewhere. This request was denied.
October *th, ****: Informed that the frozen gold rate offer would be withdrawn, and a refund with a mere Rs. *,*** voucher would be provided.
Damages and Compensation:
Financial Loss: Due to Tanishq's repeated failure to deliver the correct product, I have incurred a financial loss of approximately Rs. **,***, including:
Increased gold and diamond prices since the initial order.
Travel expenses from Kalyan to Thane (fuel, parking) amounting to Rs. *,***.
Mental Stress and Disappointment: The protracted ordeal has caused significant mental stress, disappointment, and a loss of faith in Tanishq's ability to deliver on its promises.
Demand:
In light of the above, I demand the following:
Provision of Gold at Frozen Rate: Provide me with the gold equivalent to Rs. **,*** (Rs. **,*** + Rs. **,***) at the frozen rate of Rs. *,*** (**Kt) to enable me to obtain the desired jewelry.
OR Fair Compensation: If the above is not feasible, provide fair compensation that adequately covers the financial loss and accounts for the mental anguish caused. This should include a full refund of the original purchase price, reimbursement of travel expenses, and a reasonable amount for the distress caused.
