I placed an order on Flipkart with the Order ID - OD****************** on *th June **** for a pair of Fila shoes. The delivery method selected was an "open box delivery," wherein the delivery executive would open the package, click a photo of the product, and deliver it. However, upon receiving the delivery, it became apparent that I had been sent the wrong product. The style and color of the shoes differed significantly from the ones I had ordered.
Unfortunately, the delivery was received by a family member who was unaware of the specific details of the product I had ordered. Realizing the error, I promptly attempted to raise a return request the following day. To my dismay, Flipkart's system did not allow me to select the appropriate reason for return, citing the open box delivery as the reason for the restriction.
Undeterred, I chose an alternative reason for return and requested pickup of the incorrect product. However, when the delivery executive responsible for the initial delivery arrived, he denied the return pickup, claiming that I was attempting to return a different product. It is worth noting that he himself had delivered the package and taken a photograph of it the day before.
Subsequently, I contacted Flipkart's customer care multiple times to explain my predicament and seek a resolution. Each representative assured me that they would rectify the issue, but I was ultimately informed that the return could not be processed as the seller was unwilling to accept it. It is baffling to me that Flipkart refuses to utilize the photographic evidence taken at the time of delivery to verify the authenticity of my claim and pressure the seller to acknowledge their mistake.
Throughout this ordeal, Flipkart's only response has been to request photographs of the received product, which I duly provided. Regrettably, their response stated that the photographs were insufficient to validate my claim, indicating a lack of genuine interest in resolving the matter. I firmly believe this to be a deceptive tactic employed by Flipkart, disregarding their responsibilities as an e-commerce platform and failing to uphold customer satisfaction.
