I had booked accommodation @ Ooty in Hotel Hills Palace via confirmation number ********** on *th April ****.
I connected the property owner at +** ***** ***** which was shared by booking.com via chat, on *th April ****.
I was told by the property owner that since he will not get booking confirmation until **th April, he cannot confirm at that moment.
I again contacted this property owner on **th April ****, and I was told that my booking was not at all confirmed through booking.com
I ended up paying ***** INR in place of ****.** INR
My travel date is just left with few hours and I had to do lot of contacts to get the accommodation in another hotel paying * times of what I was supposed to pay in booking.com
It was very painful and a very bad experience with booking.com that they could not manage to book at least another accommodation for which they could not confirm.
I am in the process of approaching my advocate and taking legal opinion in order to book a case in consumer court shortly, for the reason that no body from booking.com has courage to call me at least before ** hours to make another arrangement and I have ended up paying * times more than actual cost. I have travelled with aged parents and kids by making arrangements in the last minute which was very tiresome for me, leaving all the other chores.
I am very pleased with Voxya. They helped me resolve my issue without much hassle. Very impressed and satisfied.
