I planned a visit to Dehradun and booked Oyo **** Hotel Central Park Inn, Dehradun with Booking ID HTLTPYNVMN for **-** August. I booked this hotel on July ** i.e., ** days in advance. On August **, I reached hotel around **:**PM. When I entered the hotel and asked for check in, I was told that hotel has broken its contract with Oyo and therefore, the hotel does not accept online booking. The check in was denied. I had not received any communication in this regard from goibibo/oyo/hotel management. I called goibibo customer care number ***********. After much efforts, my call was picked up by one and he asked me to wait for half an hour to resolve the issue. I waited for ** min but no call was received. I called again. After several attempts, call was picked by someone else, and again I was asked to wait for half an hour. I waited for more than one hour but have not received any call. After much disappointment and waiting for more than two hour, I was resorted to book another hotel. Accordingly, I booked Oyo ***** Hotel Wonder View with Booking ID HTLH**R***.
When I reached the hotel, I was again denied check in and was told that hotel was already full and how Goibibo booked this hotel. I was shocked. I tried calling Goibibo customer care for several times but did not receive any response.
For me and my family, it was not less than a nightmare. I was on roads even when I booked room for more than ** days in advance.
It is pertinent to mention here that I was a regular user of Goibibo for last two years and made more than ** bookings, which include * flight bookings and one Kerala trip. I always preferred this app. I booked even Oyo rooms from Goibibo. But this incident has shattered my faith in goibibo.
Later, around *PM, I received a call from goibibo and was told that nothing can be done for this whole episode. All that they can do is that they can provide Rs. ***/- as compensation for all this torture.
I am completely disappointed and lost faith in Goibibo.
