Booked a room through OYO, which was offered on a discount. But when I arrived at the hotel for check-in, the hotel owner denied check-in citing that they won't be able to process the booking on the discount that was offered by OYO. The owner asked to cancel the booking through OYO help desk or pay extra Rs.***.** cash for processing the check-in. I tried several times to cancel the booking through OYO helpline number but they denied any help citing "technical problem". The hotel owner himself said that OYO offers discounts through fraudulent means, which hotel owners cannot afford and is the reason they ask additional money from customers. He also said they have filed a court case against OYO to cancel their contract but till that happens they are forced to entertain fraudulent bookings of OYO . Finally, I had to pay extra Rs. ***.** as it was late evening and I did not even get a receipt for it.
