Cars 24 - Balance payment falsely forfeited

Sold my father's Lucknow registered car in Gurgaon in March **** to Cars**. A sum of **,*** Rs was withheld from the sale amount - to be released post "party peshi". Since we are Gurgaon based, a Cars** employee suggested we request their channel partner to arrange for a virtual party peshi (where otherwise physical attendance is needed). The channel partner agreed to this, and I got a call from the RTO on **st May, and party peshi formalities were completed over the phone and Whatsapp. Since then, the channel partner stopped taking my calls and when i finally raised a complaint with Cars**, I was told the amount has been forfeited because we did not show up for party peshi. They had no information of my conversations with their channel partner. They are refusing to release the balance amount due.
