Sony TV - Asking for whole display change for a small spare part damage

We bought a Sony LED TV KDL-**W***C on **-**-****. So it has been ~*.*yrs that we have bought. I have raised a complaint around ** days back and the technician has come on **-**-****. He confirmed that there is an issue with tcon board and it costs around ****/-. We asked him to replace that part. When he raised a request for that part, after * days or something he said that company stopped manufacturing that part and we need to change the whole display as the company is now manufacturing t con along with display which costs around **-**K. For television we bought for ~**K *.*yrs back how does it make any sense to put **K for repair that too just because the company changed the product design.
I will get a new television for that cost. I am ready to pay ****/- even for display as it is not our mistake but not **k. Hope I will get proper justice with the help of Voxya. We are fed up with calling customer care. The executive also says that the upper team is saying to inform the customer that display has gone wrong not tcon board. It's a very pathetic way of treating customers. Please help us in resolving this issue.
