Imagine a scenario where you are headed to a government organization to get some work done. But all you see is people yawning, delaying their work, or even asking you to come tomorrow as their system is down regularly. It is quite a common scene in India specially in government offices & banks.
You will naturally feel helpless and start weighing your options and will feel that there is very little you can do. Thankfully to tackle this issue The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances have operated a new online platform (https://pgportal.gov.in/) which enables the citizens to file a complaint against any government organization.
So how can a consumer raise a voice in this government complaint website against any government department?
Firstly visit the website https://pgportal.gov.in/ and then click on ‘Citizen Corner’ box in the portal. You will have three options available. Click on Lodge grievance here to file a new complaint. Fill in all the details like name, address etc and attach the supporting documents. Finally, enter the CAPTCHA code and then click on submit.
Apart from this online portal if you have any corruption related complaint against any government employee then you can file your case at the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) or Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The CVC is the central level body and will accept cases against central government ministries and departments, nationalized banks and insurance companies etc.
In both the cases you can file your complaint online or via email. Finally, there is the Anti Corruption Bureau. Every state has their own Anti Corruption Bureau and this accepts complaints against state government employees only.
Finally, if you believe that no one is listening to you then you can approach your nearest consumer forum if you are dissatisfied with the Government services as a consumer. For example Electricity and water related complaints where you are paying to get these services from Government departments.
We at Voxya help in approaching the consumer forum by preparing all the case documents. All you have to do is sign the documents and submit it in court. The most commonly reported government complaints at Voxya are overpriced water supply, rude staff behaviour, delay of work, unsatisfactory services etc. File a Complaint today!
