I am writing to file complaint of the white/green line display issue that appeared on my Samsung handset (S** FE) immediately after a Samsung-pushed software update, despite the device being in proper working condition prior to the update.

Issue : Green/White line issue after SW upgrade (Photo attached below)
I went to Samsung service centre for Repairing, however they asked to pay ***** INR charges for Screen replacement despite they acknowledge that this issue has happened becasue of SW issue. However since my mobile is out of warranty they can not repaair it as Free.
Later I filed complaint to Samsung Leadership team stating that It is samsung's duty repair the handset screen since issue has been created post Samsung pushed SW update.
They called me and respoended that Samsung is unable to provide a free screen replacement due to the device being out of warranty. However, I raised them below two questions which they are not able to answer.
*. Responsibility for Software-Induced Defects :
If my device was out of warranty, why did Samsung push a software update to it?
The handset functioned normally before the update, and the white line issue occurred only after the upgrade. If a Samsung software update introduced the defect, it is unclear why the customer should bear the repair cost for an issue not caused by misuse or physical damage.
*. Contradiction Between Service Centre Findings and ECR Position
My device was examined at a Samsung Authorized Service Centre for over ** hours, where the service team verbally confirmed that the issue was caused by a software fault. In this context, I request clarification on why the Samsung India leadership team does not accept the assessment of Samsung’s own authorized service engineers.
Resolution Request
I request Consumer Court to:
Acknowledge the software-induced nature of the white/green line issue which is created post SW update and other multiple users have also been affected with same issue
Ask Samsung team to take responsibility for defects caused by Samsung software updates
Provide an appropriate resolution, including free screen replacement, irrespective of warranty status
