Bhakti phutane filed complaint against Goibibo on Oct 20, 2019
I am student and currently studying medicine in one of the universities at Georgia. After the end of semester I booked my tickets (***-**********) a round trip from Tbilisi-Doha- Mumbai for the date September **th, **** from goibibo. Due to some reason I could not make it to the flight on **th September. I contacted customer support on **th September through chat and after discussing with him(chat attached in mail) he retained my ticket. So I was assured that I have my mumbai-doha-tbilisi flight booked.so later I booked a different one side ticket tbilisi-doha-Mumbai assuming that I already have a return ticket on October **th.
One days before the flight from Mumbai i.e on **th October, I also received flight confirmation from goibibo, but on the day of departure i.e on **th October at the Qatar ticket counter, my ticket was rejected saying that “your ticket has been cancelled as you could not make it ( no see) to the Tbilisi-Doha-Mumbai flight”.
And on calling the goibibo customer service the representative kept saying that it’s the Airlines policy of rejecting ticket after the no see on the inbound flight.
I paid goibibo for my tickets so I expected it was their responsibility to inform me about the about the ticket cancellation. Moreover, it is nowhere written on the ticket confirmation specifying about this cancellation policy.
I was left helpless and stranded at the airport in the middle of the night far away from my home at * am l. This has been a really disastrous incident leaving me and my parents at home in very much stress.It also affect us economically. I missed my flight and also could not book new one because the goibibo payment portal did not work even after trying for * times.
I have missed my flight and the money for the flight. I would appreciate if you could help me get my refund.
