i was facing issues with dishtv mpeg* stb so i raised a request over twitter account of dishtv and they shared a number with me where i shall make a miss call and if eligible my stb will be upgraded from mpeg* to mpeg* for free and i got the text message on my registered mobile number ********** dated *nd dec **** that i am eligible for free stb upgrade but dated *th dec the distributor of dishtv mr vasu sent a technician mr amandeep at my residence and he asked me to pay rs *** which i denied as in the message i got it was clearly mentioned its for free so i again wrote back to dishtv twitter handler and he arranged a call for me from his team on *th dec by *:** pm and the official confirmed me that by *th dec the stb will be upgraded for free and i shall not pay any amount to anyone. but from *th to till date *th december the new vc number has not been activated and today when i called the dishtv customer care they took mr vasu dishtv distributor on a conference call and he again asked for ***rs because the dishtv has not sent him a mail for free of charge email against my new vc number by the dishtv crm team and thereafter the dishtv service team forced me to pay half of the amount of ***rs if i want my connection to be activated its a complete case of irresponsibility and fraud and its a complete harassment for me even. please look into this and make the dishtv or the distributor accountable for the same. so as they shall not do so to any other customer in future.

as the technicain took away my old stb, neither i am able to do anything nor i am able to have an activated connection. dishtv is playing false games with customers and fooling them around.
