I booked a domestic flight through Travelook. I used a credit card for payment purposes and through due process, the total ticket amount of ₹****.** debited from my account. However, I received a peculiar email from Travolook, that stated that my booking was "in progress", which was unusual since the amount had already been debited.
I called up Indigo airlines to confirm whether they had received the booking I had made and to my utter dismay, they responded in the negatory.
In about ** minutes, I received an email from Travelook which stated that my booking was cancelled. The email contained negligible information about the refund I am owed. I called their customer care and they were extremely dismissive and on doing a quick internet search, I realised that Travolook has an utterly mala fide modus operandi and have cheated multiple consumers in the past. I understand my rights under the Consumer Protection Act, **** and I am seeking legal assistance under the same.
