Amaresh Kumar Ram filed complaint against IRCTC AND INDIAN RAILWAY on May 14, 2023
I was booking tatkal ticket from GZB-SRE in train ***** at ****AM sharp when available ticket was **. Site was taking a lot of time on refreshing each page (in normal time, it refresh/load new page immediately). Once everything is done, site gave multiple error while taking to payment page but in *rd attempt it redirected to Bank landing page.
After completing authentication, OTP verification for payment transaction, I received message from bank stating amount debited and at the same time redirected to IRCTC portal where it stated "No transaction".
I tried to check the booking status but it was denied stating "Action not allowed at this time".
Final status was:
*. Payment deducted from the Bank but no ticket was generated.
*. Unable to see transaction history
*. Can't rebook Tatkal ticket as waiting ticket is only available
This is *nd instance of similar nature. IRCTC is in this business/service for more than **years but still they are unable to design/develop a full proof system to avoid this sort of consumer experience.
Refunding the amount is one part but not getting the ticket booked due to unstable system design and improper system integration of IRCTC with IndianRail, Payment Gateway & Bank is serious in nature.
