I am from Trivandrum, Kerala. I bought Nissan Magnite in March from EVM Nissan, Kalamassery, Ernakulam. Later I found that the steering wheel is not recentering after U-Turns. I almost hit the divider once and another vehicle driver had to jam on his brakes to avoid hitting my car. The issue is very dangerous and it can cost lives. The steering wheel do return on very rare occasions but most of the time it will not recenter quite unexpectedly.
The Nissan service center in Trivandrum, Marikar Nissan, takes the vehicle on pretext of repairing the problem and returns it. The problem is still there. Marikar Nissan technicians and myself took a combined test on **rd September. The steering wheel got stick and didn't recenter on two occassions and then after it recentered on *rd and *th attempts. But the problem was found agin on **th, **th and **th on UTurns. It got stuck and didn't return. This is a manufacturing defect of steering system. The car is under warranty.
The customer service of Nissan India sends cliche messages to contact dealer. The Kerala ASM of Nissan India echoes what the dealer says and supports the dealer and does not even respond to my messages.
I had send many videos on different days showing that the steering wheel is not recentering. The Dealer, the Nissan ASM and Nissan India is now not responding. This is pure breach of warranty by Nissan.
