Dear Sir/ Madam,
*.* This is to inform you that I booked one consignment through your Ghaziabad Branch office of Agarwal Packers & Movers on **th August **** from Noida to Duliajan, Assam. Packaging & loading was done on **th August ****. (GC No. *******, vehicle no. HR **S-****)
At the time of booking it was informed that one ** feet container would bring my household goods from Noida to Guwahati and then other container would deliver my goods at Duliajan, Assam. The process would take ** days.
*.* The container truck left my home@ NOIDA on **.**.**** and the goods were delivered at the destination (Duliajan, Assam) on **th September**** changing to different vehicles in between the journey without my consent. As a result, all items/ packets suffered damage of different intensity especially wooden furniture, steel almirah, shoe rack, study table etc. were severely damaged.
I have informed the same to Ghaziabad Branch office of Agarwal Packers & Movers and Local office at Guwahati over telephone and shared photographs through email. I also informed about the theft of my **” Samsung TV (CRT) and one Headphone worth thousands of Rupees during packaging and loading time and shared its photographs.
*.* After rigorous follow up, they have sent one surveyor on **.**.**** for surveying the damaged items and he had submitted a copy of the same to me.
One month is over after submission of the survey report, but nothing has moved so far.
*.* we have estimated the cost of damaged items based on the packing list by the transporter and found to be around Rs. *,**,***.** whereas actual cost of the items are more than the mentioned in the packing lists. Because of the space constrain in my home I couldn’t un-packed the all items which is also shown to the surveyor. Actual cost of damaged items will be more than Rs. *,**,***.**.
*.* I wrote to the head office of the Transporter and sent a claim letter through registered post with acknowledgment return copy. But they never confirm the receipt of the letter and didn’t return the acknowledgment copy.
*.* I tried to contact them to know the status of the claim, but they showed little interest for settlement of the claim.
View above, I earnestly request you to consider the matter in priority basis and prepared a case to be filed in consumer forum.
