I bought Dell G* **** gaming laptop on on *st December **** from a retail Dell Store in Ratlam Madhya Pradesh. Since then it used to overheat a lot, I thought that was normal as I had no prior experience in using laptops.
On **th August ****while I was using my laptop I heard a cracking voice from behind my laptop. I immediately called Dell service centre to talk to a technician about it. I have subscribe to premium warranty for my laptop so any damage is to be repaired by Dell without any charges.
But as this damage was outside not from inside it was hard to convince them that it wasn't accidental because accidental damages are covered under the premium warranty.
as it search about it I came to know it was because of the design of laptop and the overheating problem of the laptop but they said it's not because of that it might be the model of the laptop.
They book the service and told me that my laptop will get repaired within ** days of the service booked. because of the cover it is getting delayed till ** days or as it would have been done within a week.
I trusted them and didn't ask for any return promise what they made on call and I waited for ** days. after that I got a notification regarding college opening so I had to move to a new address and I haven't received my laptop yet. I got the notification on *st September **** so I called the Dell service centre for the technician and told them about the situation that I need my laptop before *th of September **** after that I'll be moving to a new address. They promise me that the laptop will be done within a week and they mark the date for *nd September that the parts will be received by the technician on *nd September ** ** and heel contact me within * to * working days. I again trusted them and I waited till *rd September and I got no notification from them so I again called them and they kept telling me that I'll have to wait a little more. Since then the date has changed from *rd September to *th September to **th September to **th September to **th September **th September. I asked them if they can't read my laptop on time then replace the whole system and they said it will take more than ** to ** working days for that and I don't have that much time so I told them that repair the path as soon as possible if you can't replace system.
they said they are trying their best to do it because the parts are coming from outside the India so its taking much more time time and it will take it little more time. Since then they are keeping me on wait and not giving me any promises about the service done by them and they are not providing me the repair parts and my laptop isn't working since then.
I feel like they are just bluffing with me and I won't get my laptop back again.
I asked them for the refund of the laptop if they can't provide the service before ** September and they said they can't do that so they can't do anything other than keeping me on weight and not providing the service.
I even ask them if they could change the address in that situation so that I can get my laptop done at the new place but they said that is not possible, for that I'll have to cancel the service and book it all again and again wait for more than a month.
please help me get my laptop back because all of my work has been stuck because of this.
