Srinivas Bhat filed complaint against Indigo Airlines on Mar 30, 2018
We had booked * tickets (Return) against the following PNR Nos QY*N*C, U*LDJY in November-****, Bangalore to Bagdogra (and Return), Indigo Airlines. However the very recent developments about grounding over ** Indigo Aircrafts A***-Neo due to faulty engines brought in the fear and anxiety on our travel for the booked dates. We hence contacted Indigo (via emails, Twitter, Phone) seeking information and assurance on the situation and Aircrafts that we were supposed to be travelling on. However we did not get any assuring response apart from their standard templated responses.
We then requested for a cancellation and full refund. We did not agree to the cancellation charges (₹**,***/-) as this was not a usual situation. However Indigo has gone ahead and charged us with the usual steep cancellation charges (₹**,***/). We do not agree to this as the situation was an exceptional one and we also received no assurance from Indigo whatsoever which eventually forced us to cancel the trip. Please note that we also had to bear additional losses like agent fees, hotel bookings etc. to the tune of an additional ₹**,***/-. All this for the lack of transparency and total failure on Indigo's part to communicate and provide assurance for the tentative situation that was prevailing.
I hence raise this complaint seeking a full refund of the cancellation charges that have been levied by Indigo Airlines.
