SriLankan Airlines - Reimbursement Compensation Claim Flight 27 March 2026 Ref UL

I am writing to formally escalate my complaint at the highest level regarding my booking (PNR: **QRJM) for travel on ** March **** from Delhi to Colombo.



Your recent response stating that the flight was “delayed to ** March **** and not cancelled” is noted. However, I strongly dispute this position for the following reasons:








Why This Constitutes Cancellation in Effect





A delay of nearly ** hours renders the flight commercially useless for the originally contracted travel date.
No timely alternative arrangement was provided at the airport.
I was left stranded at the time of boarding, forcing me to make urgent alternate arrangements.




In practical and legal terms, such a delay amounts to a constructive cancellation and clear deficiency in service.








Consequential Loss Caused





Due to your failure:



I was compelled to book a last-minute ticket with Air India at a significantly higher fare
My return journey (same PNR **QRJM) became unusable and had to be cancelled and rebooked at additional cost
