Arunabh Mahanta filed complaint against Amazon on Feb 10, 2021
I ordered Batman Arkham Knight (PS*) [Game of the Year Edition] on Amazon India on January **th. I received a French Copy of the game as opposed to a regular English Copy. This has never happened to me before so I didn’t know what to do, I contacted Amazon Customer Service immediately. They launched an investigation and after * days, they told me that they’ll either refund or replace the item. I told the Customer Service Lady that I would like the replacement option only if Amazon can guarantee me that this time I’ll receive an English copy and if they can’t guarantee the English copy, I would go with the refund option. The Lady insisted that I go with the Replacement option and that this time I will surely receive the advertised English copy. February came and the replacement arrived, I didn’t get the English version. IT WAS THE SAME FRENCH VERSION. I was so annoyed and disappointed at Amazon India, I felt deceived. I called Customer Service again, and they launched an investigation (again). After * days, I called them to get any updates and they told me that since my order was delivered safely they can’t offer me the refund option. I WAS SO PISSED OFF! I want what was advertised or give me my money back. It’s like if I order a Harry Potter book and the seller sends me a localized Chinese copy of Harry Potter and just because it was delivered safely to me, they can’t refund me. That’s not how it works Amazon, if the customer can’t enjoy or even utilize the product he/she deserves a refund.
