At the beginning of February, I received a notification to pay my Ola postpaid. After receiving my salary on the *th of that month, I immediately transferred this amount.
However, towards the end of February, I sent a notification that I had yet to pay my postpaid. Not realising I did, I made the transfer. After checking my previous transactions, I realised they had wrongfully raised this. In between paying my postpaid at the beginning of Feb and the last week I didn't take a lot of Ola cab rides and even if I did, I made immediate payments because postpaid payment is such a hassle.
Anyway, I immediately raised a refund request I spoke to the customer care and they understood this was a mistake on their part. They promised a refund within * - * days. ** days passed and nothing. I'm a working professional working **+ hours in a week, reclaiming this refund was on my mind but I could never get to it. Who knew working ** hours almost every weekday could drain you? So fast forward to Saturday afternoon, I call them up again after navigating and hunting down the "Call Us" option. After speaking to a customer care executive, I have assured a refund within ** hours. The weekend's over, it is Monday now. First thing I walk into work, I call them. Not only do I not receive a straight response, but my call's also cut twice. I was asked to attach screenshots of the transactions which I mailed to them immediately.
Imagine my surprise when they say - "Give us ** hours". I let them know this was "unacceptable" - truly an understatement.
And now they had the audacity to make some shit up about the additional ***/- as an amount I owe them. Thanks to this experience, I have come to truly appreciate the phrase: Baffle them with your bullshit. In conclusion, I believe their lack of respect for their customers shouldn't go unpunished. I want to be compensated for the fact that I have had to take so much effort for a mistake they made. I'd like to be compensated for this pathetic excuse for 'customer service'.
