Air India Airlines - Refund never received from Air India for travel date of Apr 2020
Shiv Sen filed complaint against Air India Airlines on May 13, 2021
Ticket no ************* was booked in Dec, **** for itinerary: CCU-DEL-JFK and JFK-MUM-CCU. The travel date was *th Apr, **** and return date was *rd Oct, ****.
Due to nationwide lockdown the ticket was cancelled in April. Since then, I have been following up with Air India for refund on a daily basis via email and phone.
Only in Feb, **** they confirmed on the refund providing a transaction id **********MVT. The amount never showed up in my account. I checked with my bank (Bank of America) on the transaction id. They said, it's a transaction id at their end and its not helpful for them to find out anything. My bank went beyond measures to help me by trying to dispute this transaction (more than a year old transaction). They tried their level best to reach out to Air India, but no one responded to them.
I am at a loss now. Not sure where to go whom to approach. I spent $***.** to book this ticket.
Please assist me to get this amount back.
