Lack of a grievance redressal process - Quikr Management
On ** May **** @ approximately **.** AM, Mr. Saurav (**********) from Quikr called me and managed to convince me to convert my Ads into Premium Ads. Mr. Saurav even insisted to be on call until I made the payment. Over the call, I was informed by him, that I will be receiving a verification call from Quikr Team and my Ad will be converted into Premium Ad within ** hours. He also shared his phone number with me, with the assurance that I can reach out to him in case of any questions or concerns.
However, I never received any verification call on ** May **** and on ** May **** until *.** PM. During this time, I tried calling and messaging Mr. Saurav that I am no longer interested in converting my Ad and I want to cancel the request. However, Mr. Saurav never responded to any of my calls or messages. During the verification call as well, I had refused to verify since I no longer wanted to convert my ad.
Since then, I have been trying to get in touch with your team through phone calls and emails. Until the ** May ****, each time that I called Quikr – Premium Ad team, I was either disconnected or connected to the Doorstep team who was not able to help me out.
On ** May, I received a call from Ms. Komal who mentioned that refund is not possible. When I tried to reason with her stating that my Ad was never converted and I would like to speak to the higher management, I received a call from Mr. Manpreet (**********) who blatantly stated that refund is not possible quoting reasons such as –
*. The ad was converted in the back end (which I was never informed or aware of earlier),
*. Mr. Saurav was on leave when he did not respond and how can I expect people to respond when they are on leave (On the contrary Mr. Saurav responded that he was in a meeting),
*. Once a request is placed and the amount is paid, there is no refund (Nothing like this is mentioned on the Quikr site, I am aware that once an Ad has been converted into Premium there is no refund – which is perfectly understandable)
*. ** hours means until the end of the day (which I was not told during my initial call with Mr. Saurav)
*. You can do whatever you want – but you will not get a refund!!!
I have been writing to the Facebook team since ** May and all I get to hear is “we shall reach out to you”. So far, I have not received any concrete response for my complaint. I am now compelled to share this experience online, so that this may get the visibilty required to trigger an action for my refund.
