Amazon - Refund Denied by Amazon India Despite Return Being Verified by Their Delivery Agent

I had ordered an Armani Exchange watch from Amazon India. The item was delivered. However, I chose to return the product as per Amazon’s return policy. During the return pickup, Amazon’s delivery agent inspected the item in front of me, confirmed it matched the order and accepted it. I have followed every required step as a customer. Despite this, Amazon has refused to issue a refund, stating that the item returned does not match the item delivered. I have contacted Amazon support multiple times, both via chat and social media. Even their specialist team has refused to help, repeating the same vague response. I escalated this to Amazon’s grievance officer via email, but received no response. This experience has caused significant mental stress and financial loss. I am being unfairly held accountable for something that was verified by Amazon’s own personnel. This seems to be a clear violation of consumer rights and I suspect that this may not be an isolated case.
