D.Velayutham filed complaint against Samsung on Mar 10, 2026
I had purchased a refrigerator and a washing machine from the Samsung online store and was awaiting delivery of the products.
On * March, I received a call from the samsung delivery partner, Shiprocket, informing me that the refrigerator parcel had been damaged at the delivery office. The delivery personnel also shared photographs of the damaged refrigerator and requested to cancel the purchase.
Immediately after receiving this information, I clearly informed them that I did not wish to cancel the order and instead requested a replacement, as the product had not been delivered to my address. I subsequently contacted the customer support team multiple times and reiterated my request for a replacement of the damaged product.
Further, I received an email from the samsung customer service team member, Mr. Piyush, to whom I shared the photographs provided by the delivery office and again requested that the damaged parcel be replaced.
Despite my repeated communications with the customer support team, I was surprised to receive an email today from Mr. Piyush stating that my order had been cancelled and that a cancellation charge of Rs. *,***/- has been deducted from my refund.
I would like to clearly state that I never requested cancellation of the order. The product was damaged while in the custody of the delivery partner and was not even attempted to be delivered to my address. Therefore, the deduction of Rs. *,***/- from my refund is unjustified and unacceptable.
For the past ten days, I have been repeatedly contacting the customer service team, but I have not received a clear response or resolution to my grievance. Deducting cancellation charges for an order that was neither cancelled by me nor delivered to my address amounts to an unfair and unethical trade practice.
I dont understand Why Rs. *,***/- has been deducted from my refund when the damage occurred at the delivery office. I want a full refund without any cancellation charges or arrange for a replacement as requested earlier.
