TANUPRIYA filed complaint against Make My Trip Pvt Ltd on May 16, 2020
Lack of support from makemytrip in rescheduling flight from Paris to Delhi which was allowed by airline at free of cost. Consequently, had to book a new ticket and have been requesting makemytrip to refund the original ticket amount. Makemytrip has pushed the refund matter onto the airline and has not acknowledged the loss faced by me due to the lack of support from them in rescheduling the ticket. I have following compliants / questions from makemytrip to which I have received no answer despite my attempts.
*) How is this loss suffered by me not MakeMyTrip's accountability? How can it be pushed onto the airlines? The airlines had allowed date change facility! Had makemytrip facilitated date change facility provided by the airlines to me timely , I would not have had suffered the inconvenience and loss.
*) Makemytrip has blatantly written to me on email confirming the problem with online date change facility on its app . Then how does makemytrip expect the customers to avail date change allowed by the airline? Do we have to keep trying our luck to get through the offline call centre when the customer agents have been reduced and it's practically very difficult to get through agents on phone.
*) What should I have done as a consumer? I couldn't reach makemytrip online or offline timely. I called the airline and they correctly told me that I need get new reschedulement through the *rd party through whom I had booked the ticket i.e. makemytrip.
