Dtdc Courier Service - PACKAGE NOT DELIVERED

This is regarding a complaint against DTDC Courier Service.
The matter is summarised below-
"A consignment was sent to me at Guwahati from New Delhi on **.*.****. The Consignment No is V********.The consignment was expected to deliver by **.*.****. However, it was not. On **.*.**** I visited my nearest "Dighalipukhuri DTDC office to enquire about the consignment and the staff of that office informed me that the consignment was received on the "Fancy Bazar New" branch. Then I called that "Fancy Bazar New" office and the office informed me that the consignment received at his office, but the delivery address does not come under that particular office. So he returned the same to the Head office. Herein it needs to mention that the "Fancy Bazar New" office has updated the consignment details on *.*.**** as "Office Closed or Door Locked". In this regard, mention may be made that the delivery address was my home address and the door was not at all locked on that day. When I asked about the person about the update he casually replied that he inadvertently updated it as “OFFICE CLOSED OR DOOR LOCKED". Later on, I called the DTDC head office at “Dispur Last Gate” and enquired about the same. The staff of the concerned branch advised me till the next day i.e *.*.****. the consignment was not delivered at all on *.*.****. On *.*.**** I checked the status of the delivery and surprisingly it was mentioned as “Not Delivered (ADDRESS INCOMPLETE OR WRONG-(CIR).then I lodged a complaint online at the DTDC website under complaint No. ********. But the reply received by me is more surprising which is as Dear Sir/Madam,
Greetings of the day!

“This is an auto case closure update for the case number ********

Consignment number V******** could not be delivered, as per the information received and the shipment has been returned back to Origin. Hence the case is being effectively closed as on */*/**** *:** pm. The booking office would have the shipment within *-* working days from the return date.

It may take upto * working day to show online update, if not visible already. Should you need any other assistance regarding the shipment V********, please write back to us with your specific requirement.

Note: This is an auto email response. Please do not remove or modify the Case No. from the subject of this mail for further communication. Shipment status may be tracked on ‘www.dtdc.com’.
On *.*.**** the status updated as “Returned Parcel Delivered”.
In view of the above incident I would like to state that
*. In the first occasion the “DTDC fancy Bazar new branch arbitrarily updated the status as “OFFICE CLOSED OR DOOR LOCKED" without attempting delivery.
*. The Head office did not try for Delivery and just updated as Not Delivered (ADDRESS INCOMPLETE OR WRONG-(CIR)
The consignment contains a very important document for interview, but only because of the irresponsible behavior of DTDC Courier Service I missed the same, which is an irreparable loss and mental agony. I claim for refund and compensation for the same.
