Nykaa beauty - Package not delivered

I ordered a Faces Canada Lipstick from Nykaa on April **th for my friend's birthday. It was planned to deliver to her house. So, the address and the contact number given were her. After shipment, it was showing that the package will be delivered by **nd April ****. Later on the same day, it showed that the delivery was unsuccessful and will be reattempted in the next ** hours. This same repeated another * more times. Then it showed that since delivery is unsuccessful item will be returning to the warehouse and refund details if applicable will be updated shortly. When i contacted Nykaa customer care number and send them an email, the answer was that the number provided for delivery cannot be reached. But it is not true since they haven't contacted the provided number at all. When i clicked on help in the App, it was showing that ny package may either be damaged or lost during transit. I have been a customer of Nykaa. But this is very irresponsible from Nykaa. I should either get the refund amount as soon as possible.
