i held my package at fedex station ( **** flair dr suite a, el monte, ca *****) before delivering. when i try to picked up the package, they requested my identification for pickup. since the original address doesn't match with the one on my driver license, i was not allowed to pick up unless i can provided any other similar documents. i don't have those as that is my friend's address. i can understand this policy. then in the late evening of **.**.**, i called fedex ***- customer service to request the package redelivered to the original address, the guy help me to request and said i would get a call from local station tomorrow morning. in the morning of **.**.**, i didn't receive any call. so around **:** am i called ***- again, a lady answered the phone and helped me contact the local station( **** flair dr suite a, el monte, ca *****) to see what happened. after that lady told me the local station could not arrange the delivery today since it was late. i said it is ok to deliver tomorrow. that lady called the local station again and then confirmed with me that they will deliver my package to my original address tomorrow and also gave me a case #**********. in the morning on **.**.****, the tracking status still not change. i called *** the third time around ** am, after customer service operator jenifer talking with the people at local station, she said the package is not allowed to deliver per their policy. i asked why the lady yesterday told me my package could be delivered today. she doesn't know your own policy?operator jenifer could not give me a good answer. i ask her to transfer to the manager/supervisor. the manager samuel helped contact the local station again and then said they cannot deliver but samuel made an exception: he asked my name and said i can pick up the package with my drive license and tracking number even though the address doesn't match. he also let me know he just spoke with angel, the employee of the local station( **** flair dr suite a, el monte, ca *****). at around *pm on **/**/**, i went to the local station again, the lady there said she never heard of that decision and refused my pickup request. i called ***- (don't remember how many times), operator joseph helped me. i told him manager samuel's decision this morning. joseph said he doesn't know who the samuel is. there are a of samuels there. funny. he also did not see any records about this except my request for redelivering this morning. really?! check the case# ********** please. then joseph said they can definitely redeliver tomorrow. ( again? come on, i am not gonna trust you guys) i let joseph confirm with the lady employee at local station. lady said cannot redeliver because policy blablabal (that's right, policy again).. joseph cannot help. i asked if he has any employee number/id as i knew there are bunch of joseph there too, he said he is not authorized to provide that. so how can i complain your service later?
obviously, there is lack of communication between *** customer service and local station. ***' doesn't know local station's policy and location station never follow ***'s decision. they are two separated parties and everyone has his/her own opinion. management suck. even they don't understand their own policy, how do you expect the third party/customer to know the rules??
