DTDC EXPRESS LIMITED - Package delivered damaged

I asked one of my friend in Kerala to send me a T.V cum monitor for study purpose from Kerala to Trichy, Tamilnadu. He send it from the DTDC local office in Kottayam, Kerala. When he went there to send it they asked him what it is, and he told them it is a T.V. they marked on the cover "FRAGILE, HANDLE WITH CARE". In the bill it is also written home appliances. In spite of all these they took it lite. When it was delivered with lot of expectation I unboxed. To my surprise the T.V had Dents, scratches, bit broken here and there. The worse thing was when I try to put it on, half of the screen is black. The display is dameged. I called some technicians for evaluating, and they said it is beyond repair. This caused me a lot of mental trauma, financial loss as well as my valuable time to study. I was also felt embarrassed by this kind of irresponsible behaviour from the courier company. I feel they should be accountable for this act. I need compensation from the company, Which also will be lesson for them.
