Rushica Bhagat filed complaint against Zomato on Jan 7, 2019
I had placed an order using Zomato App and the order (#**********) was prepaid. The restaurant took a lot of time to accept the order and then updated that the order has been dispatched to reach my address. In a matter of *-** minutes the status on the App displayed “Restaurant cannot fulfill your order”. To enquire about the return procedure I pinged the chat assistance where they conveniently slipped their application glitch into me my number being unreachable and they could not contact me so the order amount will be levied on me as a penalty. My number was in the serviceable area and no attempt was made to contact me. Moreover, i have missed calls alerts active in my phone and there was not attempt in calling me and I was receiving calls as usual. The chat assistant did not help me despite of me being unsatisfied with the resolution. To cross check the fact of my calling reachability I immediately placed another order with the App and a different restaurant where the status was properly updated and they were able to reach me every time they called me. With no options left I had to reach to Email support which drained me further by writing the same responses and refusing to resolve the matter anyhow. I demanded a call on the matter with their supervisor to which they refused by all means and saying that my number cannot be reached by any Tomato person this planet ;then modified the Order status in the App by writing that“ Restaurant could not reach you since your number was unreachable”. I need a full refund on the order since clearly its their end’s glitch or restaurant’s. I am a consumer who did not get the order and was denied refund without any reason. Highly dissapointed how they dealt with the matter.
