On *th July ****, Registered parcel # CK*********IN booked at Virgonagar Post Office (******) weighing **** gm deliberately sent to wrong location (Guwahati, Assam in lieu of Gwalior) and entire parcel contents (* Sarees) stolen.
On **th July, my Father in law was called to the post office in Gwalior and saw the package damaged and stuffed with stones, old newspapers. He refused to accept the parcel.
Despite numerous (**+ complaints) over emails (spread over * weeks) to entire India Post Management including the honorable Minister, Secretary, DDG, Vigilance Head but very dis-satisfactory response or rather lack of it.
During the period India Post got the parcel back from the destination, repaired the parcel from outside (contents were already stolen) and tried to return the parcel back to me as if the recipient did not accept.
India post also fraudulently changed the entire tracking line of the parcel - they omitted parcel deliberately and wrongly sent to Guwahati, Assam in-lieu of Gwalior, MP
On **th August ****, I collected communication from India post agreeing to compensate Rs *** for the loss! They are using India Post Office Act **** to compensate Rs *** (maximum amount) against loss of thousands of rupees plus effort, pain & harassment I went through.
I would like to file the case in district consumer court.
Some part of email trails are submitted as evidence to support. More evidence shall be submitted.
