I went to Airtel store (address mentioned above with contact number) on **/**/**** to get my Idea number (concerned number is **********) ported into Airtel UP west. Dealer/store representative did the whole e-KYC process and at last game the sim pouch (red colour paper pouch which contains sim inside it) which was empty inside it. I got to know about it when he had done the whole porting request process and handed me the pouch. Now, nothing can be done, so he assured me that once my sim would be activated, he would SWAP this number and get ma a new sim with the same ported number and the process would hardly take * fours. Satisfied with the reply, I came back.
My number got ported on **/**/*** ( I have attached the screenshots of SMS received from Airtel about successful porting for the proof of the same). As I didn’t had the sim, so to get my sim I went to the store next day, there one representative started the Swapping process but it showed “No data found”.
It was pretty much shocking, I talked to customer care and they told me that this number is successfully registered into Airtel but couldn’t tell me why it is showing “no data found” at the airtel store. So the problem I figured is that my number got ported to airtel, I have the sms conforming the same as well as they have my ported number showing in Airtel but in Airtel directory no data is available regarding the same. How ironic is that. So for the next ** days, I have been treated like football, airtel store says, its not their fault and customer care says they are still figuring out. I have been about like ** times to airtel store which is pretty much I am begging them for something. I have also sent numerous emails, called customer care, twitted them. Used every possible communication method to get my problem resolved. At last they replied through email and each day whenever I ask them about resolution they just simply reply to have some patience. As per Telecom Consumers Complaint Monitoring System (TCCMS) my problem or better to say their problem would have been solved within the stipulated * working days, yet it has been more than ** days and it is same as beginning.
The number concerned was my primary number and my bank account, aadhar number and every important things were linked to the same number. First they treated me like football and I just went to store at daily basis only to get back disappointed. Isn’t it harassing the customer ? My primary number is off for the last more than ** days which is too much distressing to me. What if something like recent ICICI case happens with me, someone else draws money from my bank acc. Using my number. Who is going to held responsible for that. I have not been able to do any bank transaction s my number is off and bank OTP come to that number. Isn’t it violation of my freedom ? What did I do wrong, just choosing the wrong Telecom provider ? I have paid for all the things, even INR ** just for the porting process. I am attaching the whole email conversation also. Please, it has been very frustrating times for me, please do the needful as soon as possible.
