Sharing my experience in detail so others can make an informed decision before choosing NoBroker Interiors.
Phase * – Booking via Under-Scoping (Spot Discount is Big Trap/Scam)
The initial quote shared by NoBroker was significantly under-scoped. Basic and obvious items were either missed or deliberately excluded to keep the price low and secure the booking. I was clearly told that prices would be locked if I booked at that point, which later turned out to be untrue.
Phase * – Design & Quotation Misses
Once the process started, I discovered multiple fundamental issues that were not requirement changes from my side:
Kitchen loft considered on only one side
Outer laminates missing for wardrobes
Ceiling height assumed as * ft instead of *.* ft, despite being communicated upfront
Reduced dimensions considered for multiple units (lofts, cabinets, janitor unit, GTP unit, etc.)
No drawers considered in wardrobes
Same items showing higher base prices in revised quotes without any scope change
Different rooms priced inconsistently (smaller wardrobes costing more, wood costing more than aluminium, etc.)
Phase * – Price Increases & Broken Promises
Despite no major scope additions, prices kept increasing:
Nearly **% increase at one stage, most of it due to earlier misses
Later told to expect another *–*% increase
Materials and handles suddenly marked “discontinued”, causing fresh price hikes
Quotations being called “tentative” only after booking, conveniently shifting all risk to the customer
Phase * – Zero Transparency & Poor Communication
Despite repeated requests:
No internal or external design images shared with quotations
No full item-wise explanation for price changes
Designer repeatedly came unprepared, had not read emails, and missed changes already discussed on calls
Issues were discovered only when I flagged them, not proactively by NoBroker
Phase * – Escalation Help (Partial & Temporary)
To be fair, Muzammil from the escalation team stepped in and helped bring the situation to a temporary stable point. His efforts did help move things forward once, and I acknowledge that.
However, once the process restarted, the same problems returned—unprepared designer, vague answers, and continued uncertainty around final pricing.
Final Outcome
With zero trust left in the process, people, or cost stability, I decided to discontinue entirely. I had to treat my *% booking amount as a loss / bad debt just to exit.
Final Advice
If you choose NoBroker Interiors, expect under-quoting at booking, multiple revisions and price escalations later, heavy dependence on escalations for basic clarity, and little to no cost predictability.
I would strongly not recommend NoBroker Interiors to anyone looking for a transparent or stress-free interior experience.
The designer added no real value beyond listing requirements into a *D model, consistently came unprepared to meetings, did not read emails properly, could not clearly explain price increases, and expected me to identify and correct mistakes despite having access to site data, measurements, and design tools that were never transparently shared with me.
