Magicbricks - Negligence by Magicbricks and Interiors for interior project Order ID

I booked an interior project through Magicbricks with their listed vendor Studio* Interiors (Order ID: MBN****). I paid ₹**,*** in advance based on the initial quotation and design scope. After payment, there was a clear variation in the dimensions and scope, which was never addressed by Studio* despite repeated follow-ups.

Neither Studio* nor Magicbricks responded for several days, causing unnecessary delay and stress. Later, I received a call from someone claiming to be from the Magicbricks grievance cell who said that only ₹**,*** would be refunded, after deducting ₹**,*** as design charges and ₹*,*** as visiting charges. These deductions were never disclosed or mentioned in any quotation, agreement, or communication before payment.

The so-called design was also based on incorrect measurements, which I had already disputed. The refund decision was taken unilaterally without my consent or consideration of the time and effort wasted. This has caused significant mental distress and financial loss.

Magicbricks, as the facilitating platform, failed to ensure transparent terms, fair communication, or accountability from its vendor partner. This is a clear case of deficiency in service, negligence, and unfair trade practice under the Consumer Protection Act, ****.
