I bought a Dell Inspiron ** **** from Dell's official website on */**/****. Due to delays due to the pandemic it arrived on **/**/****. From the first day onward there was an issue with the touchpad. I contacted dell and they kept avoiding the clear hardware issue and kept updating drivers until finally sending a technician to change my touchpad. Even then, the issue persisted but the technician lied to the company that my issue had been resolved. After then I had to call them multiple times, send emails until they finally agreed to send another technician to check the device, the technician packed up my device and told me that another technician will visit me in two days to collect it. Then they let me know that they could take upto * months to provide a replacement which was unacceptable for me as I am a student and desperately needed a laptop for my college work. Finally after much argument with them over the phone they agreed for a refund instead and even sent me an email regarding this. They have even sent me messages regarding this on my chat regarding this( which I have screenshots of). After that I kept messaging them and sending them emails until they finally picked up the system on December. Even then over the phone they asked me whether I want a refund or a replacement and agreed to a refund. Now they are telling me that a refund is not possible and they'll send a replacement instead, this is unacceptable as I already bought another laptop, from their brand itself after being assured of a refund as I desperately needed one for my studies. They are also out-rightly lying by saying that I agreed for a replacement over the phone. Now they are again asking me to wait for them to contact me, just like how they wasted * months of my time before. This tussle has led to considerable mental agony aside from the monetary loss for me and I would appreciate it if you would look into it.
