Sir Ganga Ram Hospital - Money extortion and Improper treatment of patient leading to death

I took my wife Mrs. Anita Agarwal age ** years old on **/**/**** due to pancreatitis disease at *:** am in the Non Kovid General Emergency Department of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Rajendra Nagar New Delhi.

He started his treatment under the direction of Dr. Anil Kumar Arora and after completing the admission process, he was sent to the assigned seat in the ICU.

At the time of admission, the lady officer posted there said that you should deposit Rs. ******. We asked him how much it would cost for the complete treatment of this disease. They told us that your total cost on this disease will be approximately ₹ ******. You will have to deposit ₹ ****** out of it now. We said that right now we have only ₹ ******. He said that now you should deposit one lakh and the remaining ***** should be deposited the next day.

We deposited the remaining amount of ₹ ***** on **/**/****. After this, the hospitalists did not even let us see our patient for three days. They said that Karona disease is going on, so we have stopped showing it to the patient.

He was letting the rest of the patients to meet the patients. We were having a lot of mental problems. Then after putting a lot of emphasis, he showed us to the patient for just a few seconds. We were not feeling well for our patient. But doctors kept assuring us repeatedly that your patient's condition is getting better.

We poor ignorant people kept believing these things of the doctors. In our world, it was taught that doctors are God, we kept blindly believing in them. But what we knew is that they are betraying us inside.

He reported for a city scan twice. Before and after CT scans were almost identical. Still, he did not perform the operation based on the report of the first city scan, while after the second city scan, he asked us for the operation. Then so that he can make a bill of lakh rupees in this interval. Now perhaps the condition of the patient was very bad. Had this operation been done on the basis of the report of the first city scan, our patient would have survived.

To make their money, they put our patient on the ventilator so that it keeps growing and it keeps pressure on us for money. We had already paid ₹ ****** while we were told the maximum expenditure of ****** rupees.
Now I was under a lot of pressure, but keep on increasing this bill, we were not listening to a single thing of ours.

I said that with the time of treatment, your bill is also coming. We cannot pay anymore. Sir, I had come in a lot of depression. Many times I thought that I should give up my life in the hospital courtyard but by taking care of my handicapped child, I was able to save myself from this illusion. In the hour of this calamity, some of my brothers have helped my mental health immensely, otherwise I would not have been alive.

Sir, the time had come that I was not able to think about my patient at all. The administration of the hospital had made me so confused with bills and money that I could not understand anything. I did not know what these doctors in ICU are treating my wife and how they are behaving. . I had forgotten how much cost my patient was facing. Because now all my attention was turned towards those bills, who were completely unable to attain maturity. I just kept requesting them that I should be put in the general category, I kept running very much, but they did not listen to any of my agony.

They kept making money, receiving bills from us. Sir, I tried many times that I give them this paper in writing that I am not in a position to pay any further, but they used to tear it off after seeing my application, but there was no point in giving it a relief.

They did not receive any of our papers, yet we prayed to the Director Medical that Sir, if you make us from ICU to General ICU, then he said that if you deposit Rs ****** today, then I promise you that I will give you General ICU I will get it done.

I became a patient of the heart and got caught up in this fact. I made a call to all my relatives, friends and relatives and requested that they please help me once more. Pay this last bill in some way. The officers here will immediately transfer my patient to the General.
All those who know me have pity on me. In some way, he raised this amount on loan and gave it to me so that I can pay my bill and shift my patient to General ward.
I spread my hands in front of everyone, asking for the most and borrowed all the money on the night of **/**/**** so that my patient will be shifted to General ICU.
But what I knew was that I was being betrayed, cheated, deceived and some conspiracy was going on with my patient.
He did not shift my patient to General ICU even after assuring me. I was very broken.
Now he had realized that I can no longer give him any more money through any friend or relative. Then he did a new trick with me. The next day, he declared my patient i.e. my wife Anita Agarwal as a Karona Passant. So that I cannot transfer them to any low budget hospital or government hospital.
Here, after payment of **.*.****, his mouth got more blood.
They again made a bill of around ₹ ***** daily. Now, under the conspiracy, my wife Anita Agarwal had already been declared a corona patient, who informed me on **/**/****.
Now the question arises that the patient is in your intensive ICU since **/**/**** and according to you you are taking full care of him. Were also recovering ₹ **** PPE kit. So the first question I have is, how did they get taxed? Secondly why was this report given to me late? It is suspected that the hospital administration and the doctor together have injected the corona virus to my wife. Sir, my patient's operation should have been done only on the basis of his city scan report which he had done in the beginning. But they put my patient on the ventilator and did not operate it. So that these people keep increasing their bills, keep making bills.
He scanned my patient city again in the last stage. This city scan and the initial city scan were almost the same but they did not operate my patient based on the report of the first city scan. Neither told us about that important operation nor did it.
The simple answer to this is you fixed the date of operation in the last days and postponed the operation in the name of Karona.
Why the operation which was to be done on **/**/**** was kept late. It is clear that your objective was to earn more money than to cure the patient because your chairman told me on the phone that if there was no money then why come to this big hospital.
He even told me that we will hand you over to the police, so I said yes call the police because our police department is more sensitive than you.

In this way, even after depositing full money from us, the hospital has not given treatment to our patient or not. Our patient's condition continued to fall day by day, but the hospital administration felt no pity at all.
Finally, on */**/****, we prayed to take our patient to a government hospital. In order to discharge the patient, he removed a bill of ₹ ****** on us. In some way, we also deposited these funds. So that we can save our patients as well as our own from the hell of this hospital, here we felt that if the patient was staying, we might not even give up our lives.
The bill showed the patient to be discharged at **:** in the night, but why was there such a delay in the night at *:** pm assigned to the patient. Don't know what they would have done to our patient in the time from **:** to *:**. We took him to a government hospital at around *:** pm and he died at *:** am.
I am very sad at the moment. A huge mental social and economic crisis has arisen in front of the applicant.
The candidate is financially, physically and mentally broken.
Sir Ganga Ram Hospital has completely betrayed the applicant. I and my family have suffered mental damage. The hospital has completely violated business rules. They made illegitimate bills and even after receiving their full payment, they did not provide their services to Garhak.
This is a gross violation of consumer law. The deceased is left behind by two daughters and a disabled son who is **% disabled. The deceased used to take full care of them. Now I do not know what will happen to my **% disabled son.
I plead for justice according to my rights enshrined in the Indian Constitution.
The hospital has cheated me and has not given me services even after taking full payment from me. It has caused me great financial loss. I am mentally shattered. I want the compensation of my mental and financial power from the hospital administration and the doctor.
I request the Honorable Judge that I be properly compensated for this financial, mental and social damage from the hospital administration.
I also want to make this application so that this hospital with poor helpless people like me can not commit such fraud in future.
