This is regarding the recent treatment of my mother at SGRH from **th Sep – **st Sep **** . During the time of admission we were informed about the ICU minimum deposit charges and different categories . I selected category * as a minimum plan .
Post two days during insurance form formalities I noticed that the doctor had written the highest plan in estimated expense in TPA form . I contacted financial helpdesk and I was asked to get this downgraded . As a default process the patient is routed to first category . In this case I would like to ask why we are not informed at the time of admission that we have selected category * however it will be *st immediately and we can get this changed next day . Why a lengthy and undisclosed process is connected with this .
I submitted an application for category down gradation and then I got to know the another process that it will be done *nd and again I have to submit an application . I did so and entire day was wasted by the sister stating I am having outstanding of Rs. ******/- though there was a negative balance in my account. Again next day I have to process that application and entire day went in follow ups and getting the signature .
So in these formalities we landed up to last day when the discharge was processed . And I notice the category reduction benefit was provided on the last day charges only . However it should have been calculated from day * . This is completely a cheating and harassment to a patients who are not given proper details . we are already in stress and this unwanted process is just created to cover up the time and the patient keeps running form door to door .
Request you to kindly consider my request and do the necessary calculation for the refund of extra money been charged to us .
