Kartik Sharma filed complaint against Airtel on Mar 30, 2023
On the **nd of August ****, I paid my airtel postpaid bill of INR ****.** INR which was settled into my postpaid account immediately. However, on the **th of August ****, the same transaction was reversed citing "*******************|*******|*******************^Settlement MIS not received from Airtel Money ,Hence Reversed|*********" as the transaction reference. My airtel account was showing bill overdue because of the reversal and I immediately paid the bill again to settle my account. Afterward, I contacted Airtel via phone, emails, etc., regarding the same. I got the response that the transaction had been reversed from their end and that I should check with my bank. I reached out to my bank which happens to be Airtel Payments Bank itself and they stated that the transaction is a success from their end and I need to contact my telecom provider. Again, I attached my bank's response in my email to Airtel next and they asked me for my bank statement, which I sent multiple times. After a while when they didn't contact me again. I reached out to them again and again and they provided me with the same responses that I need to check with my bank or that my issue is still in progress. This continued till October when Airtel kept asking me to contact the bank AGAIN and again and the Airtel Payments bank kept telling me to contact my telecom provider - Airtel. I emailed the nodal officer and appellate officers after this, their offices reached out to me after multiple emails asking me to go through the same routine again. I told them about the airtel payments bank's response. They then told me to contact the Grievance officer of Airtel Payments Bank, who, when contacted, provided me with the same response that the transaction is a success from their end. I reached out to the nodal officer multiple times after that and they kept responding with their standard reply that my issue is still in process. Their last response was on **rd November ****, after which I didn't receive any follow-up or resolution from them. Every time I emailed them about the same, their response always stayed "We regret the inconvenience caused due to delay on your request. I would like to inform your request is still in progress. Its our priority to resolve it as early as possible and we will come back to you with an update on this." To date, the concerned transaction hasn't been credited to my airtel postpaid account or my bank account. I raised a grievance with Airtel Telecom regarding the same and they AGAIN said that I need to talk to my bank regarding the same since the transaction has been refunded by Airtel. I even raised a grievance on INGRAM, which met with the same response. I'm attaching my interaction with Airtel, Airtel payments bank, and its grievance officer, along with the grievance raised with Airtel and their response.
