I ordered an air conditioner from Flipkart and the same was delivered without copper wire (which costs around ****). I called the customer service multiple times and finally I was assured that I can buy it and upload the bill which would be reimbursed with a maximum cap of ****INR. I uploaded the bill but now they are denying from the same with a reason that you have not used our installation service.
I already complained about the installation persons to the customer care. I was contacted by three different persons mentioning different rates (INR ****, **** and ****) which is way more than what is mentioned on the site (INR ****). I was aware of one of their other authorized installation person from my previous purchase of same brand AC few weeks back who asked for INR **** that sounded reasonable. He visited and denied to drill the hole required in wall. And asked me to get this done on my own and then he can revisit and install. I mentioned all these scenarios to Flipkart’s customer care and told them I am asking my local mechanic who is doing the same work in INR****.
First of all, how reimbursement of a missing product is related to its installation?
Secondly, how can I be forced to take the services when I am buying a product? And even if such a policy exists at their end, they should have informed me at the time I was complaining about the same.
And most importantly, if forcing services is legal, or they have such policy they should send me the same in written over the mail in which I uploaded the bill. But on contacting their customer care they are denying to show me any proof and give these statements in written. I was made to call multiple times at the time of complaint and even now they are not ready to provide any proof.
This is case of fraud in online shopping and the company is harassing the customer economically.
I want a resolution regarding the damages for financial loss and mental agony.
Please take appropriate action against such a company.
