MANOJ KUMAR SHARMA filed complaint against Indigo Airlines on Feb 3, 2026
I with my Mom & dad , were travelling from Kolkata to Jaipur on **/**/**** for attending my cousin sisters wedding in Jaipur.PNR-ZYN*WQ.
Luggage were handed over to Indigo at the counter & received the luggage tag number via Indigo What's app handle on my registered mobile number.When landed in Jaipur , my Mom's Luggage was found missing on the belt ,we waited for * hours on the Jaipur airport but we didnot receive our bag. So as per normal cases , we lodged a PIR at Airport & received the Issue registered at Airport- File ref no- JAI*E*****.
We were assured by Indigo staffs that our luggage will be found and handed over to us in next ** Hours, we requested the staff to get it as it contained all belongings of our marriage related functions. Even the Dulhan Saree was also in that luggage. We received Jaipur Airport Number- ********** for updates , but the number has not been answered not even once, they ignore calls and not picked, even when called throughout the day.
I went to jaipur Airport ater * days as i was in jaipur only, but i was not entertained over there , they just said that they are searching our luggage.
There World wide Baggage tracking app-also did not displayed any update wrt my bag.
After ** hours also we were not been updated , i escalated the issue to Indigo Customer support & Appellate & Nodal officer , but no reply on mail also. I have multiple mails requesting them for an update but no reply nor response over calls.
After * week we returned back to Kolkata , and started chasing up over calls to Kolkata airport & Jaipur Airport-MHB department , Lost & Found Dept, Duty Cell Dept, everywhere , but my calls were not entertained.During the time phase , i escalated my issue to higher Aviation authorities via mails , and till today i have done *** Number of mails marking them to all about my issue & no reply received. They asked me Luggage Pic-& our Pic on the date of our travel for CCTV search ,which i sent them as i had pics clicked at airport- but still my bag was not traced.
Before few weeks Indigo Airlines asked me to make a report with respect to the belongings of the luggage with proper Invoice & Bills , i drafted the same & handed over to them- but they simply replied me that as per Indigo Carriage Policy i was entitled for only (** KG * ***/-Per KG) = ****/- as compensation policy of Indigo. I didnot accepted the same till date- after which they extended the compensation by offering me *****/- as Voucher amount- which also i did not accept , as my loss incurred was not even near by the compensation offered.
i requested Indigo Airlines that at at least make the compensation near to my loss , but they denied it saying-that carrying Valuable articles in the luggage is not Indigo responsibility-and they denied paying me to my loss amounting to Rs. ******/- (supported by all invoices & Bills). And being from a middle class family-i fear moving to courts & paying them fees for fighting my case. But i feel that i am cheated and nothing is safe for a normal human being.

My two years of blood & sweat got valued finally with Voxya. I got a full refund with no hustle after they received notice.
