My parents bought LG *** Litres GR J***PGHV Side By Side Refrigerator on */*/**** from an authorized dealer (Ahuja world of electronics, Radha Krishna plaza, Gandhinagar Kolhapur ****** ) for ******/- rs. A few months back(now almost eight months), the panel started showing an error(dh). The defrost had stopped working on the left side and cooling is not happening on the right side.
Now, it is a mess because the frost which has already been built is giving odor and spoiling other eatables too. The other part of the refrigerator is also not working properly, in short, it is useless. We did call customer care for technical help, first of all, the technician himself said there are very few trained on such heavy electronics items in the city. He did call his senior and took help from an engineer and replaced the heater from the back of the refrigerator claiming that the issue is solved. We did pay for the parts and the service. But within ** hrs the situation was the same. We again called the technician but his response was to give us some time. And after a week he said he will be visiting us soon as the problem is still not resolved. But after a couple of weeks, he stopped responding to our calls.
As a workaround, whenever we see the error on the panel, we restart/shut down the refrigerator periodically, but we never signed up for this. Is this the way the LG Refrigerator works? If yes, are the customers informed about this? Now, I strongly feel I would have gone with a simple ***+ ltr refrigerator. I can easily replace if there are issues and going with a high-end was a big mistake. I request LG technical team to please fix this asap.
