Akanksha Kumari filed complaint against Swiggy on Feb 16, 2023
I placed my order at *:**pm on *th feb **** from Swiggy which was delivered to my brother by *:** pm. After I checked the delivered packet in a few minutes, I realized it was not from the restaurant I had ordered from. I had ordered from Taco Bells. The delivered packet was from Khan Chacha. Without touching the order or even breaking the seal, I opened the swiggy app to complain.
Just then I heard a knock on my door and it was the same Swiggy delivery guy. He asked for the wrong order back and said he would deliver that in the nearby building and bring back my correct order which he had already delivered to them. My brother said it was fine. This can be confirmed from the Swiggy delivery guy assigned for this order.
Just after a few minutes, he did bring back my order. The seal was broken but the delivery partner assured my brother that the food hasn't been touched and for any other further issue we need to complain to Swiggy. We thought if it's just a broken seal, it shouldn't matter. But, to our horror, the food was half-eaten. It was utterly disgusting to touch someone's leftover food.
I made several complaints to Swiggy, however after so many attempts they only agreed to refund INR ** out of INR ***. I tried reaching out to their customer service via email, chat and call. I even tried bringing this matter to their Founder Sriharsha Majety. However, there hasn't been any response yet.
I want full refund and there should be some action taken so that others do not suffer what I had to go through.
