DTDC - Item missing from the package

My brother sent a courier from UK and was received at Mumbai hub. Due to some custom issue I guess and was received at Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India. When I went to receive my package, I was shocked to see my parcel's condition. It was cutted from top in order to take out some stuff. The local DTDC persons had taped that area with the local blue tape whereas the international tape colour was white. When I inquired about this, they said while in shipping, parcels usually gets torned and boxes like this gets damaged. My package weight was **.**kgs and when I weighed it here it was something **.***. The DTDC person said scales differ from place to place and it's just a matter of ***-***gms. When I opened the box at home I found that one of my commodity was missing from the box. Our doubt suddenly changed to truth that someone stole it in transit. This is a shame. We heard so much about DTDC and the type of quality you people are offering is eye opening. Well this happened with me, stay safe in future.
