Rajeev KK filed complaint against Ixigo on Jul 12, 2020
We had booked an air ticket through Ixigo for DEL-CNN on *th June, **** and after making the full payment of Rs. *,***/- they sent us an e-mail confirmation with a PDF copy of the ticket and a tax invoice for *,***/-. The ticket mentioned the status as 'confirmed' and date of travel was **-Jul-****.
When we were making web check-in yesterday by entering the PNR, it showed a message that the booking is not available. After making several attempts, we were not able to do the check-in and we contacted the customer support number mentioned in the ticket. After keeping us on hold for almost ** minutes, he informed us that the ticket got cancelled due to covid** issue and apologized for the incident. We immediately called Air India and they also informed that the PNR is not valid.
It is a clear case of fraud as they neither informed us about the cancellation nor gave us the refund.
As the pax had to travel today itself, we booked another Air ticket from Air India directly and he is traveling now with the new ticket.
On further scrutiny, we observed that the e-ticket supplied by Ixigo carried only ** digits, however, Air India E-ticket carries ** digits. Further, Air India emblem was also printed in a different shape than the original.
Request you to kindly take up this matter and help us in getting the refund at the earliest.
